A peek into the World Trade Center

I always heard about it as the entire world did, about the 9/11 incident. So I was glad to be at this place myself to see what it looks like right now, and thanks to all those who were able to make it was put back together and is still a center of attraction.
The World Trade Center is still beautiful and remains a center of attraction to thousands of tourists and I was glad to see all that it looks like right now.

Pictures were taken from my phone. And I was on my way into New Jersey when I took this.
Guess I would have a chance to add some more when next I visit.

A Visit to Brooklyn Creative Studio

Words can't express the way I felt after I took a peek into the life of one of the people I respect the most. When you meet someone who makes it seem like they are doing nothing and they can actually put a dress together in a few minutes, make soap, make candles, body products and in short, while I was just writing this short story about her, she made a reversible bag and asked me if I liked it. I was short of words cause I couldn't imagine that someone could multi-task so much and do all of these things at the same time.

Well, her name is Rosemary Garcia and she is the owner of Brooklyn Creative Studio, here in Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY. I haven't been able to have a straight interview with her because of how busy she gets all day. I have not seen a woman with so much energy. I am still trying to arrange for a one one one interview with her soon. She offer 78 different classes in her Studio. Yes, 78!!! The list is endless, so I would just give you the link to her website so you check it out yourself.

If you go thru her website and tell me you are not inspired by the things she does, well, I would know what to say to you. Because, you do not just find women like this everyday. This is pure Genius. I won't say much.

I am a true believer that if you impart to people's lives, then you are a leader, always ready to give out to others and make them feel empowered, and this is all that I see in Rosemary Garcia.
She's a true mentor and someone whose lifestyle is worth looking into and following.
Learned a lot from her already and I am open to learn a lot more.
If there's anything mind blowing about my day, it is the fact that I had this experience of going around the studio, watching people come in and out, learn, invent new things, and the happiness on their faces when they were able to complete a project. Inspiring isnt it?

Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) festival 2016.

So, I was invited and opportuned to go check out the BAM festival on Sunday May 29th 2016, and I loved every bit of the show. First let me explain who BAM is, to our readers who may not be conversant with them. BAM stands for the Brooklyn Academy of Music. You can call it a museum. But I will call it an Arts Performance Venue in NY City. A festival was held and people of all crafts were invited to exhibit what they made.

Here are a couple of pictures I was able to get from the festival:

People who know me well, know that I am an advocate for anything Hand-Made from the scratch because I have my own brand for Handmade shoes and clothing. For this reason, I am very delighted whenever I see or meet people who share my sentiments.
Did you wonder why I am called the Lagos-Newyorker? This is because I am originally from Lagos Nigeria but now a New Yorker. This means I can blend in both cultures together and I did this with my partner Rosemary Garcia who is top on my list for Inspiration. She Inspires me in every single way and she is someone I would recommend any aspiring brand or business to check out and learn from. Remember when I interviewed Cedric Dark of the Berda Brand last week? She was the one he spoke about as being his mentor. In fact she has a Brooklyn Creative Studio here in Bushwick, East Williamsburg where she teaches 78 different classes. Yes! You heard me right. 78 Different classes. Her website is www.brooklyncreativestudio.com and there you can read about her and all that she does. She also was my inspiration behind starting a Bow-Tie Line, and I will be posting pictures of things I do whenever I write an article about myself.
Hopefully I will be attending more shows and festivals and will be able to bring you guys interesting stories and pictures like these.
